Another example here can be eBay which does not need an introduction to anyone who is online in real sense. They have made eBay a brand instead of going with AUCTION.com. Its not to say that AUCTION.com is not doing well, but you know about eBay and did you ever hear about AUCTION.com starting a new company or buying someone for MILLIONS OF DOLLARS.
